Terms of service

These are the ground rules for getting help from Jotter. They are short on purpose.

What Jotter is

Jotter is a support team. We give remote tech help to people anywhere in the United States, over chat, text, or email. We go step by step, at your pace. You do the steps on your own device. We do not sign in as you, and we do not ask you to hand over a password.

Rates and paying

  • Quick Fix is $29.
  • Standard Session is $49.
  • Deep Dive is $69.
  • Digital Companion is $35 per half hour or $65 per hour.
  • The after-hours rush fee is +$20, added to any rate when it applies.

Plain descriptions of each rate are on our rates section. We tell you the price before any work starts. If the job looks bigger or smaller than we first thought, we will say so before the price changes. Nothing is charged before you agree. There is no subscription.

For a billing question or a refund request, email [email protected]. We will answer in plain language.

Getting in touch does not commit you

An email or a Facebook message is not a purchase. Work starts only after we have told you the plan and the price and you have said yes.

What we cannot promise

Some decisions belong to your bank, Medicare, a clinic, or the company that runs an account. We can help you prepare and understand the next step. We cannot force those organizations to unlock an account, reverse a charge, or return money lost to a scam. We also cannot promise that lost files can be recovered.

Your part

Keep passwords, one-time codes, full card numbers, and identification photos to yourself. You choose whether to follow each step we suggest. You can stop at any time.

Not advice in other fields

Help from Jotter is practical tech guidance. It is not financial, medical, or legal advice. For those questions, talk with a qualified person or with the official office.

What we will not do

We do not take a commission for sending you to another company. If we point you somewhere else, it is because we think it is the right next step for you. We may decline or stop work that is unsafe, abusive, or unlawful.

Independence

Jotter is an independent support service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple, Google, Samsung, Medicare, MyChart, or any other company whose products we help you use.
